Macedonia Kidz Ministry
My name is Wendy Gleaton, and I’m the Children’s Director at Macedonia Baptist Church. My
family and I moved to Hiawassee in 2016 from Henry County, and have been members of Macedonia since 2018. Through the years, I have served in the children’s department at various churches in many capacities including, Awanas, Sunday School teacher, Nursery worker, Vacation Bible School, etc. Jesus has definitely given me the gift of compassion for all ages of children.
My prayer and vision through the guidance of Jesus and the prayers of my church family is that the kids in our church and community will recognize and come to know Jesus at an early age.
Here at Macedonia, we offer small groups on Sunday mornings at 9:45 for birth to 5th grade. At 10:45 a.m., we provide nursery, extended care (ETC) for preschool aged children, and KidZone for the older children. On Wednesday nights at 6:30, we have Gospel Project Kids for preschool aged children 3 years old through 5th grade along with nursery for birth to 2 years.
Sunday Mornings @ 9:45 a.m.
We have Sunday School small groups each week at 9:45 for nursery through 5th grade. Each class is designed to lead our children as they discover the love of Jesus through the kindness of their teachers, their joy in relationships, and most of all, the truth of God's Word.
Sunday Mornings @ 10:45 a.m.
Each Sunday morning at 10:45, we offer Nursery (birth - 2 years), Extended Care (3 & 4 years), and KidZone (kindergarten - 5th grade).
Sunday Morning KidZone @ 10:45 a.m.
KidZone is our interactive worship experience for children kindergarten through 5th grade. Kids begin in our 10:45 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary and are escorted to the Macedonia KidZ area downstairs after a few songs. In KidZone we worship through music, games, crafts, and a Bible lesson.

Children's Gospel Project - Grades Kindergarten - 5th
We are excited to share The Gospel Project with the children as they begin to understand that Christ was God's plan from the beginning to show His great love.
