Senior Pastor -

Dr. Wade Lott and

his wife, Tammy.

Greetings Macedonia Baptist Church family!  The month of February has seemed like the longest month in history as we have awaited the day that we would join you as your Senior Pastor.  From the day that we accepted the call to serve the church, Tammy and I have desired to be with you.  I want to say thank you to all that have worked to make our transition time go smoothly and to make us feel at home.  I also want to express my gratitude to the Pastor Search Team for all of the time and work that they invested into the process of seeking God’s will for your next Pastor and for their hospitality as we went through the process together.

For those that may not know, the next few months will continue to be a time of transition for us.  Tammy is a school teacher in Banks County and will have to finish out the school year in order to fulfill her contract.  During this time, we will continue to live in our home in Maysville and I will be commuting to the office while working a somewhat altered schedule.  I will work from home on Mondays (sermon preparation, emails, phone calls, etc.) and will be in the church office on Tuesday through Thursday of each week until school is finished.  In addition, we will be preparing our home, in Maysville, for sale while beginning a search for a home here in Hiawassee. Would you join us in praying for God to provide a job for Tammy and a home for us?

Finally, Easter is just around the corner.  There are many people that will come to church on Easter that will not go to church on any other Sunday during the year.  This is an incredible opportunity for us to invite them to join us for worship that day and be given an opportunity to respond to the Gospel.  I want to issue a challenge to you during this Easter season.  Write down the names of seven people that you will commit to pray for during the seven weeks leading up to Easter.  Name them, pray for them, invite them, and then sit with them during the Easter service.  I promise you that they will hear the Gospel and be given the opportunity to respond!  Church family, I love you and I look forward to what God is going to do at Macedonia in the coming days!

In HIS Service,
