Senior Pastor -

Dr. Wade Lott and

his wife, Tammy.

It is almost fall, y’all! I am looking forward to cooler temperatures and the routines that come from summer being over.  I am also looking forward to our first autumn in the mountains.  Tammy and I love it here in Towns County and we are grateful that God has called us to serve at Macedonia.

September is going to be a great month of opportunities at the church.  First, on September 8th, we will have the opportunity to be led in worship through music by Dr. Ken Gabrielse.  The Personnel Team has met with Ken and his wife, Jana, for an interview and will be making a recommendation that we approve him to be our new Minister of Music.  Ken is the Dean of the School of Music at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland and he comes to us with years of experience in church music. I am excited about this opportunity and will be sharing more with you during our worship times in the coming days.

On September 15th, Rev. Doug Merck will be with us during the morning worship service to share with us about the Christmas Backpacks and the mission work that he does with those backpacks.  Then, that afternoon at 4:00, we will gather at the Phillips’ Farm for our Annual Church Picnic.  There will be food, fun, and fellowship along with a Men’s Dessert Competition.  More information will follow in the church bulletin, but I want to make sure you get this date on your calendar.

Finally, the Truck Loading for the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home will take place on Thursday, September 26th at Macedonia from 9:30 until noon.  The list of items to bring is printed in this newsletter.  Let’s dig deep and bless these kids and the ones that care for them.

Church family, I love you all and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve you as your Pastor.  I look forward to what God is going to do at Macedonia in the coming days!

In HIS Service,
